"Terry Sampson's new CD is one of those rare CDs that I listened to for days on end, finally realizing just how many times I'd played it through. I enjoyed Whim to an extent that really surprised me. The lyrics are wonderfully poetic in a way that you don't hear very often, ranging from love celebrated in "As Love Would Have You" to love lost in "Full Moon At Half Price." Paired with effective instrumentations and outstanding guitar, each song is a complete musical poem that adds to the quality of this CD. Terry Sampson isn't just some guy who has written a few good songs, either. Many highly acclaimed artist have covered his songs, which he's been publishing since he was 20 and in college. Terry's written music for several TV shows, including Family Ties and Land Of The Lost, and even children's songs. Whim is the most recent project of a gifted and prolific singer/songwriter. I loved the entire CD, but was especially impressed with "It's Just Talk," "And Now You Know," and "When I Fall For You." For Songwriting at it's best, do yourself a favor and pick up Terry Sampson's Whim." (Andrea Hill)
